Born and raised in the U.S., Cecilia moved to London to pursue higher education and spent sometime in South Korea and China before her graduate degree. London was Cecilia’s launching pad.
Throughout her experience, she has worked internationally with various government, corporate, non-profit, and clients on projects in the following sectors: tourism, higher education, media, finance, non-profit, professional services, and the luxury sector.
In April of 2020, Cecilia launched Bangtan Scholars alongside her friends. A network created to connect BTS fans worldwide with interdisciplinary scholarship surrounding the BTS fandom.
With over 50K+ followers across social media, Bangtan Scholars has appeared in articles and journals, such as CNN en Español, Reuters, the Korean Society for Women's Literature, and more. Education has always been a passion for Cecilia.
Specifically, she’s interested in the relationship between industries and fandom, particularly fan co-creation and community building. In her free time, she is a BTS ARMY fan and loves design.
